Excessive Brake Noise

All four brake pads should be replaced at the same time and inspected to ensure they are properly adjusted.
Grinding
Grinding usually relates to excessive brake noise as it also is caused by worn-out brake pads. This noise may be more pronounced than regular wear noise, lasting even after releasing the brake pedal. Drivers should replace their brake pads as soon as possible to prevent further damage.
Stuck Brake Calipers
Opel vehicles may experience an issue in which the brake calipers become stuck and the brakes are rendered inoperable. This is usually caused by a buildup of rust and corrosion. The caliper must be removed and thoroughly cleaned. Your mechanic may need to install a new caliper guide pin, pad retainer clip or anti-rattle clip as part of the repair.
